Voyage en pays documentaire, conceived by Irène Omélianenko, an presented by Anne-Claire Lainé (France), offers an audio journey through radio documentary in France from 1941 to 1996. Through 30 excerpts from the archives, this work brings to life the most memorable voices and the greatest documentary programs. It celebrates a sensitive and intimate art form, blending territories, stories, and eras, and invites listeners to discover the richness of radio sound creation. Anne-Claire Lainé is the director of the association Longueur d’ondes, founded in 2002 in Brest. Since 2012, she has coordinated the eponymous festival, France’s main event dedicated to radio and listening. With degrees in contemporary history and documentary cinema, she began her career at France Culture, notably on the programs La Fabrique de l’histoire and Les Nuits magnétiques. Her work is dedicated to promoting and defending radio creation as a genre in its own right.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, the Institut français is the public establishment responsible for France’s international cultural relations. Working closely with the French cultural network abroad (culture departments of French Embassies, Instituts français, and Alliances françaises), it supports the international promotion of French creators and facilitates partnerships between actors from French and international ecosystems in various fields of cultural and creative industries.
Within the Department of Artistic Creation and Cultural Industries, the Digital Creation and Audiovisual division of the Institut français – where Nadia Bouissehak works – promotes the sectors of immersive experiences, digital arts, video games, cultural outreach and education and sound creation.
